Description: Having a kitchen garden is a lot of work, but we made it a fun, successful venture. Eat what you grow and Grw what you eat. Because of our small venture, money was saved .

Tomato-Tropic Boy, Beefsteak and 535
Issues of leaf miner were a problem, but were rectified through the use of soap water. Nine tomato seedlings were planted . The rain gave an added bonus to the growth. Currently, the plants are flowering excessively, there are a lot of tomatoes (though very young and green). Within the next few weeks, we anticipate they will be full size and red.

Lettuce - Pannise, Rouxai, Bronze Mignonette
Eight seedling swere planted in an empty Carib crate. We grew one marigold plant to deter pests. The lettuce leaves were growing rapidly and we managed to harvest more than 20 leaves.

Chive- Chidori and Blue
Concerete blocks were used to grow the chives. Six varieties were planted in total. Three were harvested, while the remainder we left to obtain more length and size.

Sweet Pepper- Jeet
Three seedlings were planted . We also planted two marigold plants between them to deter pests. Currently, there are a series of buds and flowers on the pepper plants. We harvested two peppers thus far.
