The soil used, consisted of Garden top soil, Chicken and Cow manure all mixed with Limestone to assist with balancing the soil acidity.
Short-term crops planted were Lettuce and Pakchoi.
Long-term crops planted were Cucumber and Bodi.
The crops continue to maintain healthy growth with no signs of pest or disease. However, due to the amount of rain fall and frequency preventative measure were taken by spraying of insecticide (BioNeem Oil) at the rate of 1 teaspoon per gallon on June 7th, 2022. Additionally, fertilizers (Calcium Nitrate granular & Limestone) were applied 3 inches around the root of each plant on June 5th 2022. Crops will be ready for harvest in approximately two weeks, when harvested, crops will be consume by the students and their families members.
