PERFORMING SPACES TO REOPEN

Port-of-Spain: The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts (MCDCA) is committed to doing its part to ensure the continued containment and mitigation of COVID-19, while supporting the return of citizens to the full expression and enjoyment of Trinidad and Tobago’s culture and the arts.

As such, the MCDCA is pleased to announce the reopening of all Performing Spaces under its purview as follows:

  • Queen’s Hall – Wednesday July 1, 2020
  • Naparima Bowl – Monday July 6, 2020
  • Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) – Monday July 6, 2020
  • National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) – Monday August 3, 2020

Standard operating procedures for National Performance Spaces and Community Facilities, with all the necessary guidelines and protocols, have been developed and implemented at all venues to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, contractors, producers and performers. These protocols are underpinned by the general guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health with enhancements necessary to meet the peculiarities of performing spaces.
