Lindy Ann Bodden-Ritch

Lindy Ann Bodden-Ritch studied music at the Royal Academy of Music, London on a West Indian Scholarship from the Associated Board of Royal School of Music. Upon her return to Trinidad, she was appointed music teacher at St. Mary’s College where she guided the young men into championship winners in Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival. Mrs. Bodden-Ritch specializes in accompaniment and has played for many local choirs and artists including well known Edward Cumberbatch of the Lydian Singers in South Africa, Washington and Jamaica. She is currently the principal accompanist for the Lydian Singers and has accompanied the Lydian Steel at the Miami Baroque Festival both as a harpsichordist and a soloist.

Mrs. Bodden-Ritch is an Official Accompanist of the Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival and Official Accompanist for the Examiner from the Royal Academy of Dance, London, England for Graded Examinations at Caribbean School of Dancing and Professional Ballet Exams and Cofounder of the Dorian Singers with Jocelyn Sealey. She has been the Principal Accompanist for both St. Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain Choir in Austria and Germany, and her alma mater’s choir, Bishop Anstey High in England, Wales, Austria and Czech Republic. After her retirement from the Ministry of Education, she designed Instrumental Performance Curriculum – piano, strings, woodwind and brass for the Academy for the Performing Arts, at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. She has performed with Catelli All Stars Steel Orchestra in Trinidad and Tobago and Canada. In 1991, she was honored with the President’s Award for Creativity in the Arts at the President’s Honor Performance.
