Best Village Tutors And Groups To Start Receiving Payments

The Ministry of Sport and Community Development wishes to advise that Best Village Groups can look forward to begin receiving stipends and grants by Wednesday 31st July, 2024. The Ministry’s Best Village Accounting team and its officers will be in contact with the groups and tutors to keep them updated on the payment process. The Ministry also thanks them for their continued patience and ongoing contribution.

The Ministry of Sport and Community Development regards the Best Village groups as valuable partners in fostering strong partnerships with communities across Trinidad and Tobago.

Throughout this year’s Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition, the Ministry continued to be steadfast in its support to groups who showcased immense talent across all genres.

This year, the Ministry has observed a significant overall increase in participating groups and individuals and this is a testament to the reach and impact of Best Village. In addition, the Best Village Camps saw over 1,000 children across ten regional camps exposed to various aspects of our country’s history and culture, thus laying a solid foundation for Best Village 2025.

The Ministry of Sport and Community Development continues to look ahead to the remainder of the Best Village calendar of events with exciting offerings such as the Food and Folk Fair on August 4th, the Folk Presentations and Folk Theatre finals throughout the month of August and finally Le Gran Z’affaire on September 7th, 2024.
