The Parenting Support Groups (PSG) Symposium

The Parenting Support Groups (PSG) was created to give clients a safe space to sharpen their parenting skills, seek out support and information to cope and better manage domestic situations. This group includes mediation and social work intervention clients as well as those referred by other institutions and members of the public who believe that this approach meets their needs. There are currently eight (8) active Parenting Support Groups and one (1) Men Support group of approximately 300 members collectively. The stated mission of the Parental Support Group when it began in 2007 was to help equip parents with the skills necessary to raise productive children in society.

The function of the Parental Support Group Symposium is to address issues raised by members of the PSG who deeply desire to learn means of overcoming the challenges which they face.  This year the workshops will occur virtually as a mini-series and will take place on September 28th to October 1st, 2020 for approximately two hundred (200) parents of varying ages, educational backgrounds, and learning styles.
