Minister Cudjoe congratulates cyclist Teneil Campbell on Mitchelton- SCOTT placement

The Ministry of Sport and Community Development extends sincere congratulations to national cyclist Teneil Campbell on being selected to join the prestigious Mitchelton-SCOTT GreenEdge Cycling team, an Australian professional road race cycling team, for the next two seasons. Campbell’s many accolades include placing 1st in the 2019 Tour of Thailand (Stage 2), 2nd in the 2019 Pan American Games (Road Race), 3rd Place at the 2020 Vuelta CV Feminas in Spain, and 5th in the 2020 Omloop van het Hageland in Belgium.

The Honourable Shamfa Cudjoe, Minister of Sport and Community Development, said that the 23 year-old cyclist has earned the utmost respect of every athlete, both amateur and professional, across Trinidad and Tobago and deserves this placement due to her tireless training, perseverance and discipline. “Teneil has an outstanding career ahead due to her tenacity and grit. We at the Ministry are exceptionally proud of her progress and her latest accomplishment. Over the years, this country has had increased visibility in the cycling arena and Teneil’s sportsmanship is key to this trend. We salute you Teneil. Continue to make us proud.”
