Description: Standard 5 students plant crops on raised beds. Tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, chive and a variety of lettuce.
We are using grow boxes left behind by the former users of the compound. ( UTT Waterloo or Caroni Research Station)
The soil was dead and we had no money so we used cow manure we got from neighbours.
After two weeks we lost most of the lettuce and all the cucumbers due to ants and other pests so we had to treat the soil and replant.
